Counseling
Guidance services are available for every student in the school. These services include assistance with educational planning, financial aid for beyond high school, and interpretation of test scores, career information, study helps, problems at home, attendance issues, school and / or social concerns, or any question the students may feel they would like to discuss with the counselors.

SCHOOL COUNSELOR, KATLIN WEBB, M.A.
Katlin Webb is a certified professional school counselor. She is Wayne County native and a two-time graduate of Marshall University. Mrs. Webb holds a Master’s degree in Counseling, with an emphasis in school counseling. Mrs. Webb previously worked at Prestera Center as a substance abuse and mental health counselor, as well as, Marshall University as a college counselor.
Mrs. Webb’s theoretical philosophy is primarily Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT). In her current role, she mainly provides solution-focused brief counseling and crisis management. Mrs. Webb ensures all students have met their graduation requirements in accordance with WVDE policy 2510 and assists students with career and higher education planning. Mrs. Webb works under the model of a comprehensive school counseling program by attempting to meet all students’ emotional, social and academic needs. She also regularly delivers classroom guidance lessons related to these topics.

School Social Worker, Mandy Muth, LSW, MSW
Mandy Muth attended Marshall University to pursue her degree in Criminal Justice. Upon graduation began working at Pressley Ridge Grant Gardens as a teacher/counselor for teens in residential treatment.
Mandy’s duties included conducting groups that focused on the development and implementation of life skills, substance abuse awareness, healthy relationships, coping skills, team building, and assisting youth in daily living.
For the last 10 years, Mandy has worked as a Youth Service worker for the West Virginia Department of Health and Human Resources- Lincoln County. Mandy was selected to assist in the advancement and execution of programs within the Department of Health and Human Resources. Mandy currently holds a BA in Criminal Justice, LSW, and MSW.
